Shunsuke Nakamura

The seventh signing of new manager Gordon Strachan, Japanese midfield playmaker Shunsuke Nakumura penned a three year deal with the hoops.

Nakumura who has spent the last three seasons playing with Italian side Reggina in Seria A is seen as a superstar in his homeland and is put up along with Hideo Nakata the most famous footballer in Japan.

The 27 year old has brought with him the oportunity for Celtic to make it big in the Far East market with Celtic securing the players image rights.

Nakumura has vowed to add sparkle to Celtic's stuttering early season performances once he is unleashed in Strachan's starting 11 which is likely to be the first home league match of the season against Dundee United.

Let's hope so.

Jerimie Aliadiere

Jerimie Aliadiere became the second summer signing for Gordon Strachan when the french under 21 international put pen to paper to a year long loan deal from Arsenal after passing a medical at Parkhead.

Aliadiere, along with a crop of young French players are seen as the future of the national side and he is regarded as one of Arsenal's highly rated prospects after signing a new three year deal with the club.

It was his international aspirations and his thirst for first team football that convinced him that his immediate future lay not at Highbury but at Celtic Park were he is determined to make an impact in all competitions.

He has been handed the number 14 jersey the same as his compatriot Thierry Henry's at Highbury

Mo Camera

Mo Camara became strachan's first signing for the new season in June, the 29 year old Guinean left bach signed at the club after a day of talks with Gordon Strachan.

Camara who left Burnley last season under a freedom of contract and has played for Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers has signed a two year contract for the Bhoys.

Maciej Zurawski

Maciej Zurawski joined the hoops on a 3 year deal for a £2million transfer fee.

Celtic had been chasing the hitman's signature for a while and eventually got it in early July. He scored 24 goals in 25 games in the Polish league and is looking to be just as effective for Celtic for the duration of his contract.

Adam Virgo

Celtic have signed Brighton and Cove's player of the year for a £1.5 million fee. 22 year old Adam Virgo is comfortable in both defence and attack.

The Scot who is sure to see a future call up to international duty scored 9 goals last term after an injury crisis saw him switched from centre half to striker and finish the Seagulls top goal scorer at the end of the campaign.

A fan's favourite at his home town club he will be looking for the same success at Celtic
